Jawad Khan currently is the Group's Managing Director which currently employees more than 5700 people worldwide and have their product presence in over 27 countries around the world. Jawad Khan, joined ZAFA Pharmaceutical Laboratories (Private) Limited, which at that time had an employee strength of less than a 150 people. Within a span of 27 years the company has transformed into the ZAFA Group, which now is into Pharmaceuticals, Textiles, Glass Products, Chemical, Printing & Packaging. The Group, other than owing these companies also owns two other Pharmaceutical Companies in Pakistan, KCI Pharmaceuticals and Unitiech Pharmaceuticals both based out of Karachi. The group is also the first Pakistan based Pharmaceutical Manufacturer with their own Manufacturing unit in Khartoum, Sudan, Balsam Pharmaceutical Company. The business which was launched with just 5 products and 1 factory and a humble investment of Rs. 200,000, has been carried forward by Mr. Jawad Amin Khan, who joined his father’s legacy almost a quarter of a century ago and significantly flourished it with over 400 products, 9 state-of-the-art manufacturing plants along with marketing offices inside Pakistan and 22 other countries situated in Middle East, Africa, South America and Central America. The Group, has now progressed towards industrial Agriculture and will play a pivotal role in increasing Industrial Agriculture in Pakistan. Mr. Jawad Khan has been the Chairman Pricing Committee of the Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association, Adviser to the President of Azad Kashmir, member of the Federal B Industrial Area Association, Member Site Superhighway Association. With over 27 years of excellence, Mr. Jawad Amin Khan has received various excellence awards including FPCCI Gold Medal in Outstanding services by Pharmaceuticals, Merit Export Award by FPCCI, Gold Medal in Pharmaceutical Excellence by FPCCI and Presidential Honor Award. He has recently been ranked amongst the Top 100 Performing CEO'S Companies of Pakistan. The illustrious ZAFA Group now consists of more than 15 companies including 3 pharmaceutical companies and others dealing with printing, edible oils and pharmaceutical packaging.
