Dr. Ahson Qavi Siddiqi, CEO of Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC) in media talks said that currently quacks only face fines, but under new amendments to the Sindh Healthcare Act 2013, it is proposed to establish separate courts and a dedicated enforcement force to combat quackery and unauthorized medical practices in Sindh. For the first time in Sindh’s history, quacks may face a minimum of three years imprisonment. This move aims to strengthen healthcare regulations and protect citizens from harmful medical practices.
