Attention: Drug Abuse/Addicts Treatement and Rehabilitation Centers

Under the Sindh Health Care Commission (SHCC) ACT 2013, the SHCC is regulatory authority responsible for

improving the quality of healthcare service delivery across Sindh and empowered to initiate action against

non-compliant facilities.

All Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Centres operating in the Province of Sindh are hereby directed to

immediately register their healthcare establishments under Section 13 of the SHCC Act, 2013. The registered

facilities must to clearly dene their scope of services, being provided to the patients. They also have to

provide evidence of availability of adequate infrastructure and qualied competent sta and necessary

equipment within 15 days of the publication of this notice.

In case any centre fails to register or submit the required details with the SHCC within the stipulated time, the

Commission shall initiate action against such non-compliant facilities, that may include, but is not limited to,

imposition of penalty, closure of facility according to SHCC ACT 2013. Moreover, in case of any malpractice or

illegitimate activity found at the facility, FIR will be registered to initiate necessary legal action.

Drug rehabilitation services provided by non-qualied personnel is illegal and liable for punishment as per

SHCC Act & Regulations.
