SHCC facilitated a 3-day training session on Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (IDSR) dashboard from for the 4th Batch comprising 5 private hospitals in Sindh.

The training was organized in collaboration with the National Institute of Health (NIH) and with support of

implementing partner Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC-USA). A total of 25 participants attended

the sessions on basic epidemiological principals, outbreak investigations and case denitions followed by

hands-on training on suspected and lab data entry and mortality data entry into the DHIS-2 dashboard. The

highly interactive sessions resolved queries and discussed facility level issues and solutions for data collection

mechanisms. A brief on Mpox outbreak was also shared by the Director Public Health Lab.

To date SHCC has onboarded 26 Tertiary Care Hospitals and 8 Private Sector laboratory networks that are

regularly reporting on the IDSR from Karachi division and this training extended private sector reporting to

Sukkur and Hyderabad divisions.
